All Society Good Cheer Evening 4:30 p.m.
Greetings all Members and Friends! Our community Good Cheer Celebration and Potluck Dinner is almost here. Make your plans to attend this wonderful evening of friends, family, food, music, and a lot of good old fashioned fun.
The evening will begin at 4:30. There is a charge of $3.00 for adults and $1.00 for children ages 7 – 12 to help cover costs. As you enter please register your child (ages birth through 10) with Santa’s helper as Santa will make an appearance later in the evening. Good Cheer has grown so large that we will be admitting at both downstairs doors this year especially at the peak times. (4:30 – 5:30 p.m.). Bring your dish to the kitchen. NO SOUPS OR CHILIS AS WE DO NOT PROVIDE BOWLS. Mark your dish with your name and bring a recipe card with the ingredients to help folks with food allergies. If you are a VEGAN, please let the kitchen helpers know as these dishes go to a separate table.
Here are the food assignments based on the first letter of your last name:
- G – Q Main Dish
- R – Z Salad or Vegetable
- A – F Dessert – finger or pick-up desserts only please
If you are a couple, bring a dish that serves 8. If you are single, bring a dish that serves 4. If you are a family, please calculate the servings based on the guidance above.
There will be punch provided before the potluck and feel free to BYOB.
At 5:15 we will begin calling tables.
At 6:15 we will assemble upstairs for the program.
After the program we will return downstairs (yes, downstairs this year ) for singing, Santa, dessert and fellowship. If you play an instrument and would like to join Bob Heck on the piano for the sing-a-long, bring your instrument. The more the merrier.
