Sun., Apr. 29 to Sun., May 6: Annual Silent Auction
The Development Committee is sponsoring our Tenth Annual Silent Auction this spring. On Sunday, April 29, the initial display of the items and bidding will take place. Sunday, May 6, the bidding continues until 1 p.m. This was a very successful fundraiser for the Society in 2011 and we hope the 2012 Auction is even better. So far, we have some interesting auction items from Society members and staff – a mushroom hunt for 6 to 8 people with lunch included; a custom designed decorative mirror; a high-end professional photo shoot; a 2-night stay at a townhouse condo at Lake of the Ozarks; etc.
We will have items from retailers, restaurants, food stores, entertainment providers, and sports teams. However, we believe that services, items, and rentals donated by members are fun also and generate a lot of interest. We are appealing to members for some creative ideas for the Silent Auction. We would like to feature another unique, high-value item like the Costa Rican Rainforest Adventure in 2011. So after brainstorming with your family and friends, pass along your ideas for specific donations to Joe Corrigan or David Brown of the Development Committee through Membership.
