Join host Michelle Ciurria and special guests for presentations and discussions on a variety of philosophical topics. The workshop is designed for newcomers, so don’t be shy!

June’s theme is Science. Meetings in June are on the 2nd and 4th Saturdays at 3 p.m.

  • June 13, Research on the philosophy of cognitive science; Gualtiero Piccinini, curator’s distinguished professor at UMSL and
    the author of “Physical Computation: A Mechanistic Account.”
  • June 27, Philosophy of science; Rich Feldenberg, pediatric surgeon and associate professor in the Department of Pediatrics, Division of Nephrology, at SLU School of Medicine. Rich has published several popular science articles in online magazines and founded the Science Enthusiasts’ Club at the Ethical Society.
