Tuesday Women’s Association

November 2, 2021 @ 10:00 am - 12:00 pm

HistoryBooks

TWA members and guests will enjoy a review and discussion of Caravans by James Michener. It is a fictional account of the situation in Afghanistan right after WWII. Miller, an American Jew is assigned to the American diplomats there. He is tasked to discover the fate of an American woman who married an Afghani and has now disappeared. To do so, he must leave Kabul and travel to remote areas of the country. He has to travel with caravans who seem to be living as their ancestors did. It’s a fascinating account of the land, the caravans, and the peoples who live there.

Don’t forget the bake sale on Nov. 7 – We will need baked goods, preferably individually wrapped, and lots of helpers. This event is hosted in the Becker Room and starts at 11 a.m. after Platform. Maxine Stone will chair this Bake Sale so contact her to help: verymaxine@aol.com. We will have a sign-up sheet at our Tuesday meeting.
