The End Racism team is excited to share that we will be having in-person discussions of the book The Broken Heart of America: St. Louis and the Violent History of the United States by Walter Johnson starting in September.
The meetings will be at 7:00 p.m. in the Hanke Room on September 14, September 28, and October 12. Depending on interest, October 26 is also a possibility.

  • Meeting 1: September 14 will cover the Prologue through Chapter 4
  • Meeting 2: September 28 will cover Chapters 5 through 8
  • Meeting 3: October 12 will cover Chapters 9 through the Epilogue
  • Meeting 4 (tentative): October 26 will cover final thoughts and reflecting on critiques of the book
