Ethicyclists’ Ride – Maryland Heights to Frontier Park
August 14 @ 9:00 am - 2:00 pm
On Saturday, August 14, we will congregate at 9 a.m. in the parking lot in front of the Community Center in Maryland Heights at 2300 McKelvey Road. If the heat index is predicted to be above 95, I will tell you the day before, and we’ll reschedule to start an hour earlier. Rain date is Saturday, August 21.
The bike ride starts at 9:15 a.m. The entire trip is on bike paths. From the north end of the parking lot, we will follow the bike trail to the path around Creve Coeur Lake. From there we will take the path to the 364 bridge and go over the Missouri River. Then we’ll take the Katy Trail (crushed gravel) to Frontier Park in St. Charles. We can have lunch in St. Charles or bike back to the Lake House restaurant in Creve Coeur Park. The one-way distance is 12.8 miles. There are three hills on this route.
Restrooms are available at the Maryland Heights Community Center, in Creve Coeur Park and in Frontier Park.
