Ethicyclists Ride Again! South St Louis and New Pedestrian Bridge
June 19, 2021 @ 9:30 am - 1:00 pm
Saturday, June 19, the Ethicyclists welcome all vaccinated riders for our second ride of the season on the River des Peres Greenway, one of the city’s more popular trails. We’ll meet in the parking lot of the Shrews-bury/Lansdowne Metrolink Station at 9:15 a.m. and start our ride at 9:30 a.m. We will proceed along River des Peres past the River City Casi-no and eventually to Jefferson Barracks Park.
On the return trip, we’ll traverse the new bridge and ride to the start of the Grant Trail and then return to the des Peres and Christy Greenways through South St. Louis to Macklind Avenue for lunch. The round trip will be about 24 miles and the trail is wide and mostly flat. So, expand your boundaries and leave the comfort of your “hoods” and get a taste of South St. Louis and its interesting neighborhoods, parks, and restaurants. The rain date will be the following Saturday, June 26.
Bring water, sunscreen, sunglasses, a spare tube, and a helmet. For more information, contact Joe Corrigan’s cell at 314-753-5538 or email@example.com. If you would like to be included on our email list for future rides, contact David Brown at firstname.lastname@example.org.
