Ethical Navigators Weekly Update – September 24, 2017

  • Update: We had a great time on a hot day riding bikes in Tower Grove Park for our outing yesterday.
  • Plans released for October outing.
  • New: Our next General Meeting will be October 15 at 9:45.
  • Our next Council Meeting will be October 8 at 9:30.

September 23: Biking
It was hotter than anybody expected for this time of year, but it wasn’t too hot for the ride. We were a smaller group than expected, with people trickling in until about 2:30. We planned on splitting into a fast group and a slow group, but who wants to be in the slow group? So a couple kids peeled off (with parents) as they skinned knees or fell a bit behind. Everybody stayed in good spirits and we reconvened back at the fountain, and a few of the kids jumped in to frolic and cool off.

Then most of the group headed to Ellen’s, where we had a nice intimate gathering.

Some photos are available on Facebook.

October 20-22: Camping/Climbing
We have a reservation at the group area at Pere Marquette for our last camping outing of the year. This site is away from all other campers and visitors, and it is more primitive than we usually use (a pit toilet instead of a showerhouse, for example), so come with your expectations set.

Planned activities for the weekend include climbing, hiking, geology, geocaching, chess, stargazing, etc.

We have the campsite reserved starting Thursday night, for those with a free school day on Friday who want to make a long weekend of it.

Andy Ford is planning this outing.
