Welcome to the website of the Ethical Society of St. Louis! Learn more about us by exploring our newly redesigned site.

What do we have to offer at the Ethical Society? We offer a home for humanists, for those who focus on this life and how humanity can make it better, without necessarily believing in God.  We are community of people who each want to find ethical principles to live by. We support and comfort each other through the stages of life. We seek to bring out the best in ourselves and in others. We share interests in learning, discussion, social action and appreciation of music and art.

I have long enjoyed the book circles provided by the Ethical Society.  Some of us have attended the Great Books reading circle here at Ethical Society for as many as seven years.

I was attracted to the Ethical Society by the Platform addresses given by Ethical Culture Leaders and others. For several years, I served on the committee that invites outside speakers to give platform addresses on Sunday. Our membership enjoys hearing from a variety of perspectives.

Your interests may lie in our Sunday School which provides instruction from pre-school through high school. You may benefit from a support group for parents which we call “Parent Talk.” You may want to attend (or even teach!) an adult education class. You may enjoy our Sunday morning Platforms and stay afterward for conversation during coffee hour. You may wish to join us in a social action project, or perhaps for a visit to the art museum or for a bike ride on the Katy trail.

If you find something that appeals to you, and I hope you do, I invite you to come visit us, and get to know us, because we would like to meet you, too.

Kindest of regards to you,

Alan Easton, President, Board of Trustees
